A: No we do not ask for any personal details and we would not ask for service details out of security issues.
Q: Who can use the site?
A: The site is aimed at anyone that has served in 21 Air Defence Battery - Royal Artillery as a whole. However we do not restrict access, so anyone can use it.
Q: Is there restricted access?
A: At present we are allowing open use of the site, however should the users wish to have a membership forum we will set one up.
Q: Can I use Yahoo and other free e-mail accounts as my main e-mail?
A: Yes, we recommend all users to use free e-mail accounts for privacy and security.

Q: Who can contribute?
A: We welcome contributions and suggestions on content from all users.
Q: What is considered for contribution?
A: Any material that has a connection to the sites' general topic is welcome.
Q: On the downloads page you have some nice pictures, but when enlarged they appear pixelated, why?
A: It's quiet simple, the images used were taken from small sources and the copyright is owned by other parties. We kept the images small so that no commercial use could be gained from the art work.
Q: Are there larger versions?
A: Yes, however at present we are not prepared to offer them to general download, but may do so in the future.
Q: Do you have a news letter?
A: Yes, this is from the 21 Association and is downloadable in either PDF or MS Word®™
Q: Do you need administrators?
A: Not at present, however we are looking for people to produce content for publication.
Q: Do you accept photographs for publication?
A: At present we do not publish photographs directly onto this site, you may use the forum for that.
Q: What size of picture do you want?
A: No more than 100kb and in jpg format or within 400 x 300 at 72dpi.
Q: Who owns the copyright to photographs?
A: The copyright will remain with the owner, whom is normally the supplier. All photographs are shown in good faith, however should an issue arise with any of the content, it will be removed.
Q: In what do you require content to be produced?
A: We accept content via most major text editors, i.e. MS Word®, MS Works®, WordPerfect® and of course HTML.
Q: Do you want it formatted?
A: Please leave formatting as a standard letter.
Q: If I send you articles by post, do I get them back?
A: Providing you supply a stamped and addressed envelope we are happy to return articles etc.
Q: Do you want articles e-mailed to you?
A: Yes, but please keep photographs to a small resolution, no more than 100kb and in jpg format or within 400 x 300 at 72dpi.

Q: Who hosts the forum?
A: The forum is hosted by a third party company that sells advertising space to commercial companies.
Q: Who can post?
A: Anyone, to post on our forum you need to register, this is free, just follow the instructions and select the options you want to use.
Q: Can I post if I do not register?
A: Unfortunately no, you must register to use the forum.
Q: Why don't you host your own forum?
A: We need to keep costs down, so we have used a third party hosting company that is highly recommended.
Q: Do you or the hosting company charge membership?
A: No it is free at point of use after registration.
Q: Are there any restrictions on what I can post?
A: The answer is two-fold, you can post what you want, but due to the nature of the web site we suggest you keep your posts within the law. If posts cause concern to either us or the hosting company, it will be removed.

A: No, however we emphasize the point of security and classified information.

A: Yes, the web site is continually being updated and as of 16/04/07 this reflects the connection between 21bty.org.uk and the 21 Association.

Browsers
Q: I find the text hard to read?
A: Using your browsers view menu do this - view > text size > larger or largest. You can apply this to any web site.
Q: I still find some text hard to read?
A: Due to some parts of the site containing large amounts of text, we had to use a smaller sized font for presentational purposes.
Q: When using Mozilla and Opera I get uneven spacing?
A: We accept there are some issues regarding certain browsers, when we can rectify these we will do so.
Q: What screen resolution do you use?
A: We prefer the site to run at 1024 x 768, however it is designed to work with 800 x 600 systems but not less.
Q: How do I get a resolution of 1024 x 768?
A: Go to your desktop, right click and select properties from the menu. When the dialog box appears, click settings and change the slider to 1024 x 768 or above.
Q: Some menus appear in the wrong order?
A: You may need to completely refresh your browser, holding down CTRL and hitting the R key should do the trick. If not clear your internet history and cache from the 'internet options' listed under the 'tools' menu.

A: 50% of all money raised is put into Armed Services Support Charities, the reaminder will be split between the running costs of the site and the 21 Association.

A: We require a full web hosting package supplied with php support, forum and chat rooms
Q: How is the web site supported at present?
A: At present the web site is supported via Jazz Syndicate Radio and 22 Productions, both of whom give their time FOC. Jazz Syndicate Radio and 22 Productions provide the financial support and liasion support between ex-members and other webmasters. 22 Productions deals with design, presentation and updating of the web site.
